Designing AI Features to be Invisible
The pressure on designers to use AI for the design process is shocking, but we need to talk about how to design AI as a feature.
Decades ago, there was this new idea that a system could be trained to recognize patterns and make predictive associations. It was called machine learning. “AI” is seen as the next move in that progression.
The problem is, however, AI is far more than a simple progression—it appears to solve any and every use case we can think up.
